A fantastic 1970 LP, quite raw sounding, & Davy's playing (on an eletctric guitar for once) really swings. The vocals, by Davy & occasionally Holly Gwyn, are often a little wayward, but that's all part of it's careworn charm. There's nothing pretentious about this collection, just a bunch of terrific performances & a palpable air of bonhomie. The edition I own is the President reissue, accompanied by a colourful & well annotated booklet with plenty of period photographs. If, like many casual listeners, you're only familiar with Davy's landmark Folk, Blues & Beyond set I definitely suggest you give Godington Boundry a listen, it presents a whole different side to his music - less academic perhaps, but still a fine example of his dazzling virtuoso guitar playing.
