This was written in between the Who's run of chart topping albums. It's roughly done, no over producing or excess studio effects. At that point the Who were still not sharing warm, caring feelings with each other but WERE still one of the toughest bands out there and this reflects Eintwhistle's share of the raw energy they were putting into their music. Compare it to the stuff they did at the Isle of Wight shortly after Woodstock. It's got a couple of songs to keep in the I-pod and the extra versions are worth a listen. Just plain old garage or basement rock n'roll by some very talented men.
