Foghat then went on to enjoy massive success in the US throughout the 70s, with virtually every album going gold (or even platinum), while attracting a fervent but cult audience at home in Europe.

This package contains the first two albums. Foghat (1972) was produced by Dave Edmunds at Rockfield Studios, and starts with a thunderous version of Willie Dixon s I Just Want To Make Love To You . This recording is being used for the opening titles of E4 s new comedy sketch series Cardinal Burns , which starts transmission at the end of March.

Second album Rock And Roll (as depicted on the cover) was released in 1973 and went gold in the US, selling over half a million copies. Ably demonstrating the band s love of American blues, boogie and rock n roll, the album was produced by

Tom Dawes, mainstay of Sixties folk-pop hit makers The Cyrkle.
