opening with a burt bacharach number little red book,love's first elektra outing touches all the late 60s rock bases notably the byrds,the yardbirds,stones and them.not as powerful as the doors first album but littered with promise of what was to come.the hey joe here is terrific and overall there is a lot of energy at work.as part of the rock scene at the time pretty indespensible stuff along with da capo and of course forever changes which should be in every serious collectors batch.
