KurzbeschreibungThis third edition of A.M. Evan's successful undergraduate text "Introduction to Ore Geology" is an enlarged and extensively revised work. The increase in size (and the new title) primarily reflects the additional coverage of industrial minerals and bulk materials, an area of economic geology that has grown in prominence over the past decade. The new edition includes three new chapters: the opening chapter provides and overview of mineral economics and two chapters are devoted entirely to industrial minerals. Geological Journal "Because of the immense range of knowledge required to write a good textbook on the subject, few economic geologists have the talent, time and willingness to devote to this task; and few, if any, really good textbooks on the subject have been written in recent years. Considering its modest length, this book by Evans comes as close as any to meeting the needs for a first course in ore deposits.
