This album while enjoyable with an excellent band (Peter Frampton on lead guitar, a couple of guys from the Cat Stevens Band, etc.) is probably the least significant of his career. The album, with no Hardin originals, serves to highlight Hardin's interpretive vocal skills. There are a couple of more raucous numbers(You Can't Judge A Book By Its Cover, Do The Do) but the album for the most part features introspective ballads. Great singing, especially on Midnight Caller, Yankee Lady, Perfection and Sweet Lady, where he seems to be singing in a trance. So, all in all, a pleasing album but not the place to explore all facets of Tim Hardin's greatness. R. Wallace
