By common consent, Lindisfarne's third album failed to sustain the excellence of its two mighty predecessors, 'Nicely Out of Tune' and 'Fog on the Tyne'. It certainly represented a dip at the cash tills, spawning no 'big' hit singles.But common consent got it badly wrong. This is a magnificent album - my absolute favourite studio offering from the band. Joyous, raucous, immediate, subtle, moving, thoughtful, catchy, ebullient, poignant - there are very few albums that genuinely warrant all these descriptions and yet still remain totally coherent, with every track weaving together into the sum of its parts (and much, much more).
