Dr. janez Kopa¿, born in 191 is since 2012 Director of the Energy Community Secretariat in Vienna, Austria. Energy Community as a true Pan European organization brings together energy markets od European Union and other European countries in Western Balkans and Black Sea region by creation of the same set of legal and technical rules. Prior to that Dr. Kopa¿ was participating in independence movement as a Member of a parliment of Slovenian parliment, serving 10 years as head of Budget Committee.

For four years he was Minister for environment, Spatial Planing and Energy in Slovenian Government, a short period also Minister of finance and additional four years Director of the Energy Directorate in the Ministry of Economy. He finished hid M.Sc. at Faculty of economy and PhD at faculty for Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana.
