Love Sculpture was a trio of blues/rockers from the tag end of the 60's, famous for their ferocious take on Khachaturian's 'Sabre Dance', and for having Dave Edmonds as a member.This album shows that they really were a class act. They tackle a variety of styles, from the almost heavy metal version of Holst's Mars through to light pop. They do them all superbly; it seems they could turn their hand to anything. The standout throughout is Edmonds incendiary guitar work. The guy really rocked! The idea to update a few bits of classical music into rocking guitar workouts was really inspired, and these pieces work really well. The other standout is the tribute to Chuck Berry, obviously a huge hero of Edmonds, 'Can't Catch Me'. Amazon-Kunde
