I bought this on vinyl c. 1970. Some of the other "chess vintage" series left me underwhelmed-when i was so poor and splurging on, say, Drop Down Mama, which disappointed. Not this one. JB's fantastic singing voice-truly unique like Jackie Wilson's- singing his own tunes with great horn charts, truly first rate recording by the Chess Bros., against JB's oh-so-simple boogie guitar- just one a kind nothing quite like it. The horn charts are so great-similar to the Atlantic horn charts of the 50s but simpler-and occasionally hitting a sour note which make them all the more funky and wonderful. Imagine 45 years later picking this up on cd-jap import-and LOVING it even more. What a great record. Amazon-Kunde
