"Stray Dogs": The latest film by visionary Tsai Ming-liang links together a series of sumptuously composed scenes that tell the story of a broken family living on the margins of Taipei society. As one mysterious scene gives way to the next, we come to know something of their history, a time when they had a home.

"Journey to the West": Tsai and Lee Kang-sheng have been working ona set of shorter pieces in which Lee, as a buddhist monk, walks very slowly across in various settings. 2014's "Journey to the "West" takes place in Marseille, and also includes Denis Lavant. (Verlagstext)
