Art evolved out of the VIPs and they became Spooky Tooth after the addition of Gary Wright. This album captures them on the crest of a wave - they have moved on from basic beat and blues to embrace psychedelia. The album is a great mix of out and out psych weirdness ( "I think I am going weird" ), to bluesy rock ( "Come on Up" ) and the absolute psych classic "Supernatural Fairy Tales" with its phasing and driving guitars and beat. I can't think of too many UK albums from this time that equal this release for quality and listenability. It has good production too so the songs have retained their power. Highly recommended. J.
