This is the award winning documentary, exploring the numerous hidden meanings discovered within Stanley Kubrick's 1980 film, "The shining". "Room 237" uncovers a guided tour of recurring symbols scattered throughout the master filmmaker's work and a study on the nature of human obsession.

Equal parts illuminating, mind-bending, eerie and oddly comic, "Room 237" draws us into a new maze, one with endless detours and dead ends ... many ways in, but no way out.

Room 237 is a 2012 American documentary film directed by Rodney Ascher about interpretations and perceived meanings of Stanley Kubrick's film The Shining (1980) which was adapted from the 1977 novel of the same name by Stephen King.[4] The film includes footage from The Shining and other Kubrick films, along with discussions by a number of Kubrick enthusiasts. The film has nine segments, each segment focusing on different elements within the film which "may reveal hidden clues and hint at a bigger thematic oeuvre.
