Inhalt

Well, what were Dr. Dopo Jam? They were a real big Danish combo, with lots of winds and keyboards, headed by the eccentric and talented Kristian Pommer. Quite why their early albums only ever came out in Germany on the Zebra label we may never know. Sitting alongside albums by Achim Reichel, Pinguin, Night Sun, et. al., they were in good company. Close in feel to German bands like Creative Rock and Emergency, but with lots more Zappa/Mothers influence, and a lot of that Nordic/Scandinavian sound. The debut has the edge creativity wise, although this second album is also rather good, mixing in even more influences than you could dream of being possible! ultimathulerecords 27. Mai 2013
