Embryo, as far as i know are still gigging today incorperating jazz,rock and world music but this early album from the seventies is more in the rock mode.Lots of improvisations and percussion similar in places to early santana especially on'marrakesh express'. The track 'dreaming girls' appeared on the next album but this is a better version and has some great violin. The second side is taken up by the albums highpoint 'call' which has guest jazzers Jimmy Johnson and ex-Miles Davis sideman Mal Waldron. Each member takes a solo and Johnson is paticularly impressive. If i have one critiscm its that the track loses its way at the end and the production tends to mix down the soloists instead of bringing them to the fore.
