Peter Kingdom is a Norfolk country solicitor standing up for the little guy. Despite his success, his life is overshadowed by the mystery disappearance of his brother and business partner Simon. Then there are his younger sister Beatrice who comes to live with him after being released from a rehibilitation clinic and his dotty Aunt Auriel, trainee solicitor Lyle Anderson and receptionist, and the village community.
